Four year colleges vary in their admission requirements. Most want you to take the college prep courses in highschool, but minimum GPA's and test scores (SAT or ACT) differ from school. The NCAA, however, outlines very specific guideliness for
student-athletes, and your eligibility to compete as a freshman at a Div I or DII college must be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Most players start their eligibility certification process during their junior year. (sending the EC a transcript after your sixth semester grades are posted) because some schools may use this to determine your eligibility for official visits. Pride-Sheeley prefers the players to sign up at NCAA their freshman year.
